BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO MENITMETER

Mentimeter is a so-called “Student Response” system that can be used to engage students during lectures and other study activities by integrating quizzes, polls and Q&As. Mentimeter has an intuitive and user-friendly interface that should be easy for students and teachers to use without any formal introduction.

PEDAGOGICAL ADVANTAGES

Mentimeter allows students to ask questions during the lecture without interrupting the teacher, and students can remain anonymous to their fellow students. Mentimeter thus makes it possible to engage all students, including introverted and shy students who do not normally ask questions in class. Mentimeter makes it possible to test students' knowledge of the lecture topic, gather feedback and evaluate. Mentimeter can also support dialogue and buzz exercises among students via word clouds. Students can answer questions or assignments posted on Mentimeter via their computers or smartphones. Furthermore, teachers can extract data from the students' answers for further work and analysis of the teaching.

AAU has purchased access to Mentimeter, and to log in, you must go to mentimeter.com and click on “Log in” in the upper right corner. Scroll down the page and select “Log in with SSO”. Enter your AAU details as described. You will then have access.
